On the morning of May 18, the 297,000 dead-weight-ton (DWT) VLCC (Very Large Crude Carrier) "Front Queen", which was built by Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding (SWS) for Norway-based shipping company Frontline Limited, was officially named and delivered. To date, SWS has built and delivered a total of 100 ships with gross DWT of nearly 16.5 million.

Today, the Capesize bulk carrier built by SWS has already become an international brand. SWS has received a total of over 110 orders for the 170,000 DWT Capesize bulk cargo carriers, the highest amount of orders in the world.

The world's sixth generation 3000-meter deep-water semi-submersible drilling platform, which is being built by SWS, is China's first independently-designed and built deep-water semi-submersible drilling platform, and the most advanced in the world. It has filled the gap in the development of super-large deep-water drilling equipment in China.
Hua San, the world's biggest oil tanker, is ready for delivery.

The TI Class of ships are the four largest double-hulled supertankers in the world, and as of 2004 became the largest ocean going ships since the previous largest, the single hulled supertanker Knock Nevis was converted to a permanently moored floating storage and offloading unit (FSO). The class comprises the shipsTI Africa, TI Asia, TI Europe and TI Oceania, where the "TI" refers to the VLCC Tanker Pool operator Tankers International L.L.C. The class were the first ULCCs (Ultra-large crude carrier) to be built for 25 years

Edith Maersk

Edith Maersk is a container ship and the sister ship of Emma Maersk, thus the world's largest cargo ship.Edith Maersk has capacity for 13,500 containers, in spite of calculations from Maersk Line company, that ship has only 11,000 TEUs capacity. The container ship can reach up to 15,200 TEUs according to specialists, but restrictions and requirements about ship's stability are high and cargo auditors from Maersk Company decided that 11,000 container are enough.

Airbus A380

The Airbus A380 is a double-deck, wide-body, four-engine airliner manufactured by the European corporationAirbus, a subsidiary of EADS. The largest passenger airliner in the world, the A380 made its maiden flight on 27 April 2005 from Toulouse, France, and made its first commercial flight on 25 October 2007 from Singapore to Sydney with Singapore Airlines. The aircraft was known as the Airbus A3XX during much of its development phase, but the nickname Superjumbo has since become associated with it.

The A380's upper deck extends along the entire length of the fuselage, and its width is equivalent to that of a widebody aircraft. This allows for a cabin with 50% more floor space than the next-largest airliner, the Boeing 747-400, and provides seating for 525 people in a typical three-class configuration or up to 853 people in all economy class configurations. The A380-800, the passenger model, is the largest passenger airliner in the world, but has a shorter fuselage than the Airbus A340-600, which is Airbus's next-biggest passenger aeroplane. The A380-800F, the freighter model, was offered as one of the largest freight aircraft, with a payload capacity exceeded only by the Antonov An-225. The design and production of the freighter was pushed back indefinitely, and outstanding orders were canceled. The A380-800 has a design range of 15,200 km (8,200 nmi), sufficient to fly from Boston to Hong Kong for example, and a cruising speed of Mach0.85 (about 900 km/h or 560 mph at cruising altitude). It is the first commercial jet capable of using GTL-based fuel.

ROBOT

A robot is a virtual or mechanical artificial agent. In practice, it is usually an electro-mechanical system which, by its appearance or movements, conveys a sense that it has intent or agency of its own. The word robot can refer to both physical robots and virtual software agents, but the latter are usually referred to as bots. There is no consensus on which machines qualify as robots, but there is general agreement among experts and the public that robots tend to do some or all of the following: move around, operate a mechanical limb, sense and manipulate their environment, and exhibit intelligent behavior, especially behavior which mimics humans or other animals.

Stories of artificial helpers and companions and attempts to create them have a long history but fully autonomousmachines only appeared in the 20th century. The first digitally operated and programmable robot, the Unimate, was installed in 1961 to lift hot pieces of metal from a die casting machine and stack them. Today, commercial andindustrial robots are in widespread use performing jobs more cheaply or with greater accuracy and reliability than humans. They are also employed for jobs which are too dirty, dangerous or dull to be suitable for humans. Robots are widely used in manufacturing, assembly and packing, transport, earth and space exploration, surgery, weaponry, laboratory research, and mass production of consumer and industrial goods.

People have a generally positive perception of the robots they actually encounter. Domestic robots for cleaning and maintenance are increasingly common in and around homes. There is anxiety, however, over the economic effect of automation and the threat of robotic weaponry, anxiety which is not helped by the depiction of many villainous, intelligent, acrobatic robots in popular entertainment. Compared with their fictional counterparts, real robots are still benign, dim-witted, and clumsy.

Engineering is the discipline, art and profession of acquiring and applying technical, scientific and mathematical knowledge to design and implement materials, structures, machines, devices, systems, and processes that safely realize a desired objective or inventions. The American Engineers' Council for Professional Development (ECPD, the predecessor of ABE) has defined engineering as follows:

“[T]he creative application of scientific principles to design or develop structures, machines, apparatus, or manufacturing processes, or works utilizing them singly or in combination; or to construct or operate the same with full cognizance of their design; or to forecast their behavior under specific operating conditions; all as respects an intended function, economics of operation and safety to life and property.”

One who practices engineering is called an engineer, and those licensed to do so may have more formal designations such asEuropean Engineer, Professional Engineer, Chartered Engineer, or Incorporated Engineer. The broad discipline of engineering encompasses a range of more specialized subdisciplines, each with a more specific emphasis on certain fields of application and particular areas of technology.

In Australia and New Zealand we use a specialised container truck invented in New Zealand that places 20ft or 40ft containers on the ground.
The container comes off the drivers side and for ease of packing we can have the container placed on our trucks at the container park with the container doors at the rear of the truck or the front of the truck
If fact this transportation system is so good because the truck delivers the container and moves on to its next job, when you are ready which might be in 4 hours time or it might even be next week, you give us a call and the truck comes back and picks up the container.
So next time you have a truck sitting in your dock, ask yourself how much are you paying in detention or demurrage or waiting time.
And another question to ask your self, with this system there is no need to panic getting labour to meet the truck, or have your labour sit around waiting for a truck, simply make the phone call and get the container brought in to your yard and placed on the ground and then order your labour.
What specifications do we need:

No shrubs, trees, power poles at the placement of container just watch out for low power cables and if you want us to put container outside on the council strip (between your front boundary fence and the kerb of road) make sure there is no medium strip dividing the road.

We need a minimum of 24 feet in width where the container comes off:
That's 8ft /or 2.4 m for the truck, 8ft /or 2.4 m for the container and 4ft / or 1.2 m either side of the truck for the lifting legs to stabilize the truck when the container is lifted on / off.
From the rear of the trailer back to the container there is 10ft / 3 m which houses the rear lifting arm plus generator to power the legs and the front and rear lifting arms.
These specialised trucks can transport 20ft and 40ft containers and for those interested in its weight lifting capacity try a legitimate 24 metric tonne rated gross 20ft container (that's cargo weight plus container tare) in fact they can go higher for those who have road transport permits.
We have a series of photo's for you to see, in fact there is an interesting photo of a trombone trailer, this where the trailer can be configured from 20ft to 40ft carrying capacity. You will also see that this truck can stack containers on top of each other and also take a container off another truck or rail wagon if required.

Fantastic transport system:

Increased lifting capacity, improved cycle times and ease of operation lead to increased productivity and lower operating costs.
